Original Black Knight

In 1950, the guitar that started the solid body revolution was first put into production and propelled the world of guitar into the future with it's unique design.  Our Original Black Knight pickups are based on the tones found in those guitars.  The bridge pickup is thick, grunty and smooth while the neck pickup is deliciously round and deep.  If you make your paycheck playing overdriven rock, then you should probably consider the Original Black Knight bridge - you might just get a raise once your boss hears your newfound tone.  This one of a kind sound is only available at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups.

Black Knight

The Black Knights are based on the early "black pickguard" Telecaster tones of the 50s.  A round and slightly sweet twang is the hallmark of the bridge pickup, while the neck pickup is deep and warm.  Opt for the nickel silver cover to keep the neck pickup slightly clearer sounding.  Our unique take on these famous tones is only available at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups.

Jouster

Like the Jouster's brethren in the Black Era of Rumpelstilskin Telecaster style pickups, these pickups are inspired by the early pre-cbs Telecaster style pickups.  The Jouster's use an alnico 2 magnet for a round and slightly softer vintage tone.  More harmonic content than alnico 3, but softer and less biting than alnico 5.

White Knight

In the mid 1950s, the sound of Fender started going through more subtle changes all around.  Alnico 5 became the standard magnet and the sound became more twangy.  The White Knight set is based off of this era of sound.  Bold and classic, yet something all it's own, the Rumpelstiltskin White Knight set is the quintessential T style tone.

Gray Knight

The later era of Telecaster pickups represented a slightly clearer and more scooped tone.  The Rumpelstiltskin Gray Knight Telecaster pickups take their inspiration from this great sounding era of Fender Telecasters.  Twang, clarity in the mids and bite best describe the Gray Knights.  Our personal touch makes this sound only available at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups.

Belfry Neck Pickup

"Belfry: The part of a steeple or other structure in which a bell is hung."

There have been requests for a more Strat-like tone in a Telecaster neck pickup sizing, and the Belfry is our answer.  While it is constructed in the vein of Black Era pickups, the construction is tweaked slightly.  Tall like a tower and ringing like a bell, the Belfry remains a T-style in tone with a more open sound which is slightly more Strat-like.

Bobbin Material - Black Vulcanized Fiber Magnet Wire Type - Neck 42 gauge plain enamel Magnet Grade - Alnico 5
