“Millers”

The "Millers" (formerly the 54s). Based on the the original pickups found in the forever famous inaugural "Black Era" S-style guitar.  Glassy, warm and sweet - the "Miller's" will take you back in time with a unique sound only available from the talented winders at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups.

As with every pickup design here at Rumpelstiltskin Pickups, we don't simply copy - we take the sound from original specs and take it beyond where we found it.

“Millers Daughter”

Based on the pickups that followed after the inaugural "black bobbin" era S model guitars, the "Miller's Daughter"(formerly the Pre-CBS set) set is more raw, throaty and assertive than the "Millers" set. The Miller's Daughter set will bring you the best quintessential "S" style tones available with a balance and sound only available with a carefully crafted set of Rumpelstiltskin Pickups.

Gray Gypsy

Based on the late "gray" era of pickups (formerly the Gypsy set), Rumpel's Gray Gypsy set is a unique take on this design that recreates and improves the light airy and scooped sound of these pickups. No other pickup will give you the unique thumping clear bass and crystalline highs of the Rumpelstiltskin Gray Gypsy set. 

Our Gray Gypsy pickups have the clearest tone and lowest output sound of the Jester/Rumpel's Experience/Gray Gypsy sets. 

Don't let "low output" fool you into thinking that these will not be punchy and flavorful; on the contrary, these exude the tone and feel of that glassy bell-like sound that made the Strat a popular choice in the earlier years.

Jester

The Rumpelstiltskin Jester pickups are inspired by the middle "Gray era" of Strat style pickups.  Splitting the difference between the low output crystal clear Gray Gypsy set and the Experience set, the Jester gives you the best of both worlds.  Clear like the Gray Gypsy with enough mid range to remain full, but not as warm as the Experience set.

No other pickup will give you the full midrange smooth highs of the Rumpelstiltskin Experience set.  The Experience set has the warmest tone and highest output sound of the Jester/Rumpel's Experience/Gray Gypsy sets.
